Repaura is a personal training booking app for iPhone: coaches set their hours, prices and rules, invite their clients, and clients book sessions. This page explains what it keeps about you, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who runs Repaura
Repaura is made and run by Jacob Morley in the United Kingdom, who is the controller of your personal data under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). If you have a question about your data, email jake@jacobmorley.co.uk.
What we keep
- Your name, email address and, if you give it, your phone number.
- Your password, stored only as a one way hash that nobody, including us, can read back.
- An account number we give you, and whether you are a coach or a client.
- For coaches: business name, working hours, prices, session lengths and booking rules.
- For clients: which coach you joined and the times you say you are free.
- Bookings and cancellations between a coach and their clients, and the notifications about them.
- A device token for push notifications, only if you allow them.
We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data or payment card details, and the app has no adverts, analytics or tracking tools.
Why we keep it, and our lawful basis
- To provide the app you signed up for (contract): signing you in, letting clients book their coach, showing each side their sessions, and sending the emails the app depends on, such as your joining code, password resets and booking emails.
- To keep the service safe (legitimate interests): stopping abuse, for example by limiting repeated sign in attempts.
- Push notifications (consent): only if you tap Allow when the app asks. You can change your mind at any time.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or track you across other apps or websites.
Push notifications
If you allow them, Repaura sends notifications about your own sessions: a new booking or a cancellation, and a reminder the day before a session. We never send marketing notifications. To send them, your device's notification token and the message are passed to Apple's Push Notification service, which delivers them to your phone. You can turn notifications off in your iPhone's Settings, Notifications, Repaura, and we delete the token when you delete your account or when Apple tells us it is no longer valid.
Who can see it
A coach sees the details of their own clients and their bookings. A client sees their coach's name, business name, prices, rules and free times. Nobody else does.
Service providers
We use these companies, who only handle data on our behalf:
- Krystal Hosting, which hosts our server and database in London, United Kingdom, and sends our emails.
- Apple, for push notifications, as described above. Apple may process this outside the UK under its own safeguards.
We will only share data otherwise if the law requires it.
How we protect it
Everything between the app and our server is encrypted (HTTPS), passwords are hashed, and only the coach and client involved can see a booking.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. You can delete your account in the app (Settings, Delete account) or by emailing us, and we then remove your details. Bookings a coach needs for their own records are kept without your contact details. Short lived security records, such as sign in attempts, are removed automatically.
Children
Repaura is not meant for children under 13, and they should not create an account.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, ask us to limit how we use it, or ask for it in a common format to take elsewhere. Email jake@jacobmorley.co.uk and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it, and we will tell you in the app if the change is significant.
